Going "Through the Looking Glass" with The Playwrights Realm
Despite what my constipated facial expression in the last photo suggests, I had a blast directing the Playwrights Realm’s Alice in Wonderland-themed Writers Block Party gala yesterday!
The day started with rehearsal for fran da silveira’s “Playwight’s Adventures in Theaterland”, a funny and smart look at the topsy turvy world of new plays, performed by a cast of dreamboats: Janice Amaya, Delphi Borich, Simone Recasner, and Jesse James Rose. Jesse was also our hostess with the most-ess and kept the evening hilarious and brisk as The Realm announced a ton of exciting 20th anniversary projects—including a $10M endowment campaign ($6.2M already raised!)
